A picture of me and my friend Lisa

David and I are taking a break from blogging (if you haven’t noticed). We will pick up again after Thanksgiving.
I might sometimes give everyone out there a little bit too much information at some point in the future, so please forgive me in advance for any times I might do that. I know some of the people sure to read this will be family, so please take whatever I say in the future with grace instead of judgement. Remember, I will be getting increasingly hormonal…
With that aside, I have heard that the best place to buy pregnancy tests is at a Dollar Tree store where they are supposedly sold for $1 apiece. I will have to check that out! I mean, my first two tests last weekend were certainly light and I would like to see a darker line eventually! I’m not talking like 10 tests… just one to take at, like, the 9th week or so when it’s bound to be a dark second line.
I’m guessing we’re at 4 wks 5 days. I’ll have to get a counter once I have a doctor’s guess at a due date. My guess is July 15, 2005. I will be calling my friend Lisa tonight to see if I can borrow her Miracle of Live Nova DVD to show David.
Oh, and that reminds me! Lisa’s baby shower is Saturday! WHEN am I going to make her gift?! Oh boy, I might just have to registry it this time!
My Friday started like a normal Friday… except that it was a period Friday, meaning I was expecting to get my period. Expecting, more accurately, to get cramps signifying the beginning of my period. I got neither cramps nor period. What I did get was a two-pack of Equate brand pregnancy tests from Wal*Mart, cotton squares, Q-tips, and a box of haircolor. The haircolor was the perfect shade brown! I LOVE IT. The cotton squares and Q-tips are working out just lovely, and both pregnancy tests sport two lines each. Two dark ones (one on each) and two very light ones (one on each) in fact. My previous experience led me to approach them with caution. I did not get emotionally wound-up over the results. I still have not expressed sheer joy!
Our first doctor’s visit is scheduled for November 19th, 2004. Hopefully we will both be able to attend it. I think after the appointment, I will be able to finally be sure about this pregnancy and finally celebrate!
Tonight I discovered Ann Taylor. I have never owned such fine clothing as I now own.
Yesterday, while walking through the Alamo Dome parking lot, we all got to see a 2005 Mustang up close and personal. Check it out. I’m sure it will take me some time to warm up to, and not just because the weather finally took a turn for the chilly side.
Congratulations goes to the Cedar Park High School marching band for yesterday’s hard work. CPHS band placed SECOND in the State UIL Marching Band contest for class AAAAA. While the rest of the US was busy worried and voting for the presidency, David and I along with the rest of the CPMS and CRMS band staffs were in San Antonio watching band after band perform in the Alamo Dome. We did not know how CPHS would do after finals… all the bands were spectacular and there was not a clear winner. Alas, L.D.Bell came in first, CPHS second, and Duncanville third. The rest of the results are posted somewhere online I’m sure… google it if you’re really curious.
