Yep, I decided to go for it in attempt to help Lowell’s, um, poop be less, um, snot-like. Okay, now that the reason is out there, let me continue. It’s hard to not eat any dairy. Man. Dairy is in EVERYTHING but I’m reading ingredients faithfully and sticking to it so far. This is my third day and I have already noticed some things about how I feel. Yes, already!
There is less air in my system all around. I’m also noticing my appetite is increasing and I’ve felt great these past few days. Things for Lowell haven’t changed much but we’re hoping to see an improvement in the quality of his poopy diapers here in the next week or so.
I don’t know if the suffering of going without cheese is worth it in the long run.
UPDATE: It does seem to be working as he hasn’t had a clearish-snotty diaper in a couple of days now. Poop is returning to what it is supposed to look like. I’m sure you were all anxiously awaiting that update. I’ll be staying milk-free until I wean him. Wow, like, 8 or 9 more months of no diary. I hope I can pull it off.
Five months? It’s only been five months? Not more? Lowell has been so much work (read: motion — bouncing, rocking, walking, jiggling, wearing) that it seems like, well, like he should be at least a year old already!
At five months, he is waaay behind where James was in milestones. James was sitting unsupported at 4 months old, rolling from back to front by 5 months… Lowell, yeah, not so much on the sitting or rolling or even seeming to want to sit or roll. No, Lowell is all about his hands, being held, making goo-goo eyes at anyone and everyone and being swaddled. Yep. Still swaddling our 5 month old.
His next appointment is at the same time as James’ 2 year appointment on August 17th. I’ll have both boys’ stats then. I’m guessing Lowell is still a shrimp.
I would say, judging by this picture Mark took, that Dave enjoyed himself up in the ‘burbs of Seattle. It is good to have him home, though, if I do say so myself.
Dave brought back some amazing jerky from Stewart’s Market, Inc. in Pike Place Market. A-maz-ing, I tell you. Too bad we don’t have a market like that here. Mmmmmm….
Someday I’ll make him blog about his trip on his own. Thanks, Dad, for the ticket for Dave to fly with you to Seattle and spend the time up there with his friends. Thanks, Millers, for giving Dave a place to stay and entertaining him and feeding him. Thanks, Flints, for driving down from Bellingham to visit.
